Graining
This is my birch plywood piece in progress. I'm not really sure where it will go from here, but I have a few different ideas. I haven't had a chance to work on it as much as I would have liked to yet today, since I ended up breaking one of my dining room chairs this morning (due to it being too old, not due to me being too heavy lol...). So most of my time was spent taking the chair apart the rest of the way and cleaning up the ensuing mess. There was disintegrated particle board and rusty staples all over my kitchen floor this afternoon, enough to qualify this as a domestic disaster. I took a break from it by going on a "nature walk" around the pond by my place. I saw two yellow-bellied slider turtles sunning themselves together on a rock, very cute.
I worked on the look of this blog a bit last night: added my own banner and changed some font colors, etc. And I also amended my comment section so anyone can post comments now, not just people registered on Blogger. So post away! (Please...) I'm going to start working in my studio for a couple hours right about now.
I like the blog page...it looks great! The couple of hours spent changing the colors paid off!!!!! -LP
ReplyDeleteThanks, it took way too long to do that stuff... And thanks for leaving my very first comment. :)
ReplyDeleteThis and your web page are great, you're gonna have to teach me how because I'm competitively jealous now. Yay! I like the piano paper(?)on the piece you worked on Wed. night, the touch of silent sound and code.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely teach you how to do this stuff, it's actually kind of fun... I'm glad you like the piano paper piece. I can see myself working with that stuff for awhile. I'm really drawn to it, and your description is so poetic: "the touch of silent sound and code." Wow. Thanks for leaving a comment!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I found your site while doing a search for collectible dolls and teddy bears. Wow, love your site. It really was a pleasure to read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment! I'm really glad you like the site. Keep checking back for more updates!
